Kiinalik wins two Dora Awards!
Kiinalik:These Sharp Tools was recognized with two Dora Mavor Moore Awards last Monday night at the Winter Garden Theatre: Outstanding New Play, as well as Outstanding Sound Design/Composition. We sent the statue for Outstanding New Play to Nunavut with Laakkuluk, where she promises it will make it’s way to her cabin on Frobisher Bay where we spent time together making the show. The other little Dora clown-man-statue (which i am seriously honoured to share with the incredible Cris Derksen) for Sound Design/Composition is sitting on my kitchen table. What a night!
